How do you measure your body fat %? 📏
The cheapest and easiest method is probably the Navy method. However, keep in mind that all body fat measuring methods will have a margin of error - even the DEXA scans can show an incorrect number.
I would generally add an extra 3-5% for whatever you're estimating, however, what truly matter is the consistency.
Body fat isn't something I would recommend measuring - especially if you're not competing as honestly... Who tf cares? If you're lean, you're lean. In my case, this is the first time I've actually started measuring my body fat as I'm going to be using it in combination with my body weight to see where I'm roughly at leading up to my bodybuilding competition near the end of the year.
NAVY METHOD:
Things you'll need:
Rope measuring tape
Steel measuring tape
Body weight scale
Do this as consistently as possible - preferably in the morning after you've gone to the bathroom and before you eat anything.
You'll need 4 measurements:
1. Waist (at the naval)
2. Neck (at the thinnest below your Adam's apple)
3. Your height
4. Your weight
Choose any Navy body fat calculator you want (I chose bizcalcs) and input the values.
