As it was that time of the year I went back to Buttermere to see the bluebells in Rannerdale Valley and also wild camp on Whiteless Pike. Well this is what I though. The summit appeared to be too small to have a comfortable camping night ( I don't like to camp too close to the trig point).
My plan B was to carry on hiking and camp on Wandope but on my way I saw a perfect little pitch overlooking Crummock Water.
What a calm and pleasant night it was!
What's next? Mellbreak I guess.
