Old wells were believed to have healing powers. The well is associated with the 6th-century Saint Seiriol, who lived in the area around this time. The well has been used in the distant past, and the chapel brickwork was later built over it in the early 18th century.
The ancient well is located in Beaumaris, Anglesey, Wales, near Penmon Dovecot. People would travel from all over to visit the as many believed it to have healing powers.
