It's now been 30 years since these fascinating photos captured moments of life in Liverpool. For generations, it's hard to believe that 1994 was three decades ago - but many will remember the city as it looks here.

To put things into context, it was the year actors Saoirse Ronan and Joseph Quinn were born, East 17 released hit Christmas song Stay Another Day and film Four Weddings and a Funeral was released in cinemas.

When it comes to Liverpool, 1994 was also the year Liverpool FC supporters stood on the Spion Kop for the final time and the Radio One Summer Roadshow event was held in the city for the first time.
