AMS to BRS - 30th May 2025

Hi Everyone 👋

Our trip home, from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, back to Bristol Airport.

We got the train from Lelylaan station to Schiphol airport. Just tap your debit/credit card or phone wallet at the station when you enter, then tap again when you leave the station! It's soo easy!

I booked us an EasyJet flight home with pre-booked seats 24 E&F.

We walk through Schiphol airport, take another Iamsterdam photo as someone had their eyes closed when I took the photo when we arrived there 🫣 We buy some duty free cigarettes and tobacco. Tip: If you fly with EasyJet, they sell duty free on the plane, MUCH cheaper too! 😉😉

I'd had enough of carrying my backpack, so grabbed a trolly after security and wheeled our bags to the terminal H. Didn't wait long, then we found out our plane was leaving from H5, 1 stop down the corridor.

Got scanned into the waiting area, then we boarded the Airbus A319-111.

Saw some lovely clouds over the Netherlands, then again when we reached the UK.

After landing a fair way from the main terminal at Bristol airport, we got the bus to the terminal, through the passport scanning machines, then got on the Silver Parking bus to collect my car.

It took us longer to get from Bristol airport back to Newport than the actual flight from Amsterdam to Bristol! All because of heavy traffic jams! Took us over 2 hours to get home, when it should take about an hour! Never mind.
