Mr. Tim Young and the faculty of Charles R. Drew Middle School, in Lincoln, Alabama, share their Green Ribbon Award winning successes in in environmental education. We're celebrating Earth Day this year by kicking off a school-wide Earth Day challenge. We believe that our DREW Way initiative will not only impact the school but the entire community.
D = DARE to be DIFFERENT. We DARE you to be part of the solution to pollution and not part of the problem.
R = RESPECT our school and community. Our challenge is for
students and teachers. Record a I-minute video clip of you
showing respect for the Earth by cleaning, planting,
recycling, or repurposing something in the community.
E = ENCOURAGE each other to be successful. Encourage
your family and friends to join your challenge.
W = WORK hard to make a difference! We know that you'll
work hard as you tackle your challenge, but it will make
a huge difference in our community.
