Cleaning A 70 Year Old Needlepoint: Tack Out

Did tacking out this 70 year old needlepoint save the day???
We could have used dry solvents to do the cleaning with much less risk but the cleaning results would not be the same.
Results: no pile distortion, no shape distortion and no dye bleeding……Happy Days ☺
Note: Always use caution when forcing the fabric into a particular shape, especially when the fibers are older and show signs of dry rot
