On August 27th I'd get up bright and early and drive down to the Conway Scenic Railroad in New Hampshire with the goal of seeing the freshly painted former Maine Central GP38 255, and good old GP7 573.
I would get delayed by roadwork and unfortunately miss the first Notch Train up to Crawfords however I would catch it on its way back down with 255 leading on it's own back down to North Conway.
I would then wait around for the second departure from North Conway, and chase all the way up to the Notch.
I then went for the Valley Train with the usual suspect 573 pulling the excursion.
