This is a very delicious, one-pot gluten-free recipe called Dal Dhokli made using Jowar flour. Traditionally this dish is made using wheat flour but in order to make it gluten-free, I have used jowar (sorghum) flour.
Ingredients
For Dhoklis:
Jowar(sorghum) flour - 1 cup
Besan (gram flour/chickpea flour) - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder - ½ tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Ajwain (carom seeds) - ½ tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
For Dal:
Cooked toor (yellow split pigeon) dal - ½ cup
Oil - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds -1 tsp
Hing (asafoetida) - ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Red chili powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Dried red chili - 1
Curry leaves - 4-5
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Jaggery - 1-inch piece
Tamarind - ½ inch piece or lime juice - 2 tsp
Cilantro for garnishing
