Severn Valley Railway - Autumn Steam Gala 2024 - 20/09/2024

19th - 22nd September 2024 saw the Severn Valley Railway host their annual Autumn Steam Gala, featuring no less than eight locomotive in steam over the event.

This years proceedings had a notable London Midland Scottish flavour, with star's of the show included Ex L&Y 0-6-0ST, No.11456 (Courtesy Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Trust), Ex LMS Stanier 5MT Class 'Black Five' 4-6-0, No.44932 (Courtesy of West Coast Railways), and Ex LMS Stanier 6P5F Class 'Jubilee' 4-6-0, No.45596 'Bahamas' (Bahamas Locomotive Society), working alongside LMS Stanier 5MT Class 'Mogul' 2-6-0, No.13268.
The event also saw another return visit for GWR Saint Class 4-6-0, No.2999 'Lady of Legend' (Courtesy of the Great Western Society Didcot).

Filmed on warm Friday 20th September, we see an intensive timetable of services between Kiddermister and Bridgnorth from various vantage points along the route. Unfortunately, No.11456 had failed the day prior and was in for repairs - returning to service later that evening, shortly after finishing for the day.
