GFoRSS 2025 General Assembly – Convened at the Margins of DIFSC 2025

GFoRSS is proud to have concluded its 2025 General Assembly

Held virtually to maximize participation and fulfill the legal requirements of the Annual General Meeting of Members, the session also benefited from the presence of several GFoRSS members and leaders who were attending the Dubai International Food Safety Conference (DIFSC 2025). The 2025 Annual Meeting brought together members from across all regions to review achievements, reinforce governance, and set strategic priorities for the years ahead.

This year’s Assembly highlighted major achievements across GFoRSS’s global programs, including:
•⁠ ⁠Strengthening scientific and analytical capacity through targeted training and laboratory support
•⁠ ⁠Expanding regional networks in the Arab, African, and Asian regions
•⁠ ⁠Advancing food risk assessment initiatives and data-generation efforts
•⁠ ⁠Supporting meaningful participation of underrepresented countries in Codex work
•⁠ ⁠Enhancing global collaboration through strategic partnerships.
Members also reviewed the Activity Report, endorsed key strategic directions, and reflected on the Society’s continued role in shaping global food regulatory science.

A central highlight was the election of the new GFoRSS Board of Directors, bringing together a diverse group of global leaders committed to advancing regulatory science, risk assessment, and international cooperation.
