K40 Laser Generic vs Brand-Name PSU | A New Power Supply for my K40 Laser

Since 2016 my K40 served me well until a couple of days ago the PSU (Power Supply) started making clicking noises. Something was arcing inside and i took new safety measures by keeping my distance to the machine while operating it until suddenly the arcing became worse and i could see sparks inside the PSU. Not knowing if the failure was coming from the tube or PSU i ordered a new one. This time i chose to upgrade to a branded unit that i simply ordered on Amazon (links below).
In this video i take a look inside both units to determine which one is better and if the name branded one is supperior considering that it almost costs double the price than a geberic one.

Conclusion:

The Cloudray PSU costs about 30-50usd more than a generic one.

The pcb‘s inside however are identical. The capacitors are the same brand but in my case the flyback transformer has a 50w rating instead of 40w.
I could not make out an improvement cutting plywood with the new PSU but that can be because of the old generic laser tube i am using.
Of course it is up to you what power supply you choose. I could make out some tears to the protecting foil on the Cloudray power supply what to me indicates that the unit passed multiple hands in things of quality control. On the other hand as it is the exact same unit than the way cheaper option i guess that you pay some extra money for nothing as if you recieve a faulty unit you can always send it back to amazon.
