★☆★ ABOUT ME★☆★
I'm Ben and rather than tell you my life story I'll just say that I left corporate America 3.5 years ago to start a recruiting agency, I made $100,000 in my first six months, scaled my agency and now I teach others how to start recruiting agencies and do the same!
My channel is a way for me to express my ideas and concepts and hopefully add value to your life! I hope that by showing certain aspects of what I do and how I do it you can enhance your life and learn new things to level up!
========================================================
Here's what I showed in the video so that you can replicate the techniques I was using to find decision makers in almost seconds.
Preface - You need to have LinkedIn setup and in order, you also should have the chrome extension "contactout" (this is a god sent)
Now, first things first, we need to be sure we're finding lists of companies to target and filtering them for what types we want to target, so for this you can use things like Yelp or a simple Google search of "plumbing companies in Omaha" or "transportation/distribution in NYC"
Yelp or Google are just two very basic ways to get a huge list (500+) of companies you can target if you search correctly and filter for the proper ones, ie: don't target national chains, don't target huge conglomerates etc.
Here's what methods I showed in the video:
1. COMPANY WEBSITE - I couldn't make it more easier. Once you have a company you want to find the decision maker of, literally go to their website, and hit the "about" tab or "team" or anything that looks like it would show who works there. 99% of the time the HEAD of the business / owner / decision maker will be on that page. Yes, their full name, yes their bio and a lot of info about them. From there you can head straight to LinkedIn and search them, connect with them, use contactout to grab their email and get engaged with the decision maker. This process can be done in under 2 minutes. Flat out.
2. LinkedIn "Search by company" - This is almost too easy. Once you've identified a company or a small business you want to pitch your services to, simply go onto LinkedIn and instead of searching for a person type the name of the company into the bar, and hit the "company" tab. This will bring up the company itself on LinkedIn and they'll be a small bar to the right that says "see all 10+ workers for this company". Click that tab! You'll immediately be shown everyone that is on LinkedIn that works there, and at that point just scroll down the list until you see the head honchos/the big dogs. We're talking the owner, CEO, VP, Director etc etc. Whom ever you think is best to make contact with. ONCE AGAIN, you can choose, either use contactout to grab their email and send off an email or hit them straight on LinkedIn with a connection request and a message thereafter. If connecting on LinkedIn, always keep it casual and brief, and do not pitch them ASAP. Instant pitching on LinkedIn almost never works. Email is a different story.
3. MANTA.COM - So, Manta has been around for a long long time, but for detectives like us, (recruiters), especially running our own agencies, this tool is GOLD. Manta basically is a business registry website that pretty much lets you search whatever "type" of business you're looking for in the area, (again think plumbers in omaha) or whatever it might be for your city and your search. The results will pop up and the official owner usually with an email AND cell will appear. This is an excellent tool for scoping out decision makers.
4. BNI (Business Networking International) - This is a business networking club that's been around for ages. Basically on their website they list out all of their chapters, where BUSINESS OWNERS/DECISION MAKERS meet weekly for networking purposes....it just so happens that if you go to the BNI website you can also, look up any chapter in your area and see the members AND their CELL PHONE NUMBERS. In some cases you can also see emails and message them directly.
Get after it!
