Recipe Name: Healthy Beetroot Jam for Iron Deficiency
Ingredients:-
• Beetroots 4 medium
• Water 1 cup
• Jaggery 1 cup (or more)
• Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Methods:-
• Wash beetroots thoroughly. Do not peel them.
• Add beetroots to pressure cooker alongwith 1 cup of water. Pressure cook for 6 whistles at medium flame.
• Let the pressurr release and open the pressure cooker. let the beetroots cool down so that you can hold them without burning your hands.
• Peel the beetroots and chop into big chunks. Transfer to a blender alongwith water remained in pressure cooker. Blenx into smooth paste.
• Transfer the paste to a pan.
• Add jaggery and lemon juice. Mix well.
• Let the paste cook on low flame until all the mlisture has evaporated and the paste has turned into thick jam like consistency.
• If the water remains in jam it will spoil it. so make sure its all evaporated.
• Turn the flame off and allow the jam to cool to room temperature.
• Transfer to clean and dry jar/bottle and store in refrigerator for 3 months.
• Enjoy!
