🏙️ From Brownstones to Bruins: Exploring Allston/Brighton’s Blend of Old & New Boston

Today, we explore Allston–Brighton, one of Boston’s most eclectic and evolving neighborhoods — a mix of tree-lined streets, classic architecture, and shiny new developments. 🌳🏗️

We begin our walk along Commonwealth Avenue, heading down Gordon Street where the neighborhood reveals its quieter, more residential side — complete with triple-deckers, old Victorians, and small corner shops. Even Ringer Park is taking a short break for tree trimming, but the surrounding blocks show off the mix of history and character that make this part of the city so distinct.

As we continue, the area transitions from leafy streets to a more urban, mixed-use landscape. Beacon Street greets us with the Volvo and Polestar dealerships, a symbol of Allston’s industrial past meeting its tech-forward present.

Finally, we make our way to Guest Street, the heart of the Boston Landing development — home to:
