Day 3 of my Slovenia journey takes me to the country’s beautiful coastline.
The day begins in the medieval seaside town of Piran, famous for its narrow streets, Venetian architecture, and timeless harbor views. Walking through the old town feels like stepping into the golden age of the Venetian Republic.
From there, we take a boat ride along the coast to Portorož, a well-known Adriatic resort famous for its thermal waters, mineral treatments, and long sandy beaches.
If the weather allows — a refreshing swim in the emerald Adriatic Sea is a must.
Later, the journey continues to the fertile Vipava Valley, a region famous for vineyards, apricots, and dramatic landscapes. We visit a local winery for a tour, wine tasting, and traditional cheese and meat delicacies.
