After the excitement of Day 1, we allowed ourselves a well-earned lie-in before heading back out for Day 2 of Detectival 2025. The fields were tougher going and the signals few and far between — plenty of scrap, lots of walking, and a touch of rain to finish us off — but it was still a weekend to remember.
Among the finds were a Tudor rose button, a Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC) button, and a mix of small relics from across the centuries. Even with tired legs and grey skies, the rally spirit never faded — every dig still had that chance of history beneath our feet.
