Every second in the moment, from the second you put your gear in the water, step on and hook into your harness, the speed going out while the waves are racing towards you providing you with all these jump ramps like in skateboarding. Seeing your friend leaving gravity momentarily and landing smooth like motorcross or eating shit..a vast playground within the chaos of nature.
November, our windiest month. Have had zero desire to surf since the wind is up early most days and surfers are all crammed into 1 or 2 sheltered spots. It must be so much fun paddling out at 6am into a pack of 30 surfers, all gleefully welcoming the added nuisance into the already congested lineup, to hopefully snatch 5 waves. On the flipside, the windsurfers have been on rampage pretty much the entire month. No crowds, just friends out, less driving around, empty waves and countless ramps. Thank you Dulan for providing us with this wonderful playground in our backyards.
