WELCOME to my FREE “Introduction to Mock Trial” program appropriate for prospective/current law students, college students and high school students - and even really motivated middle schoolers.
"Introduction to Mock Trial" is a 10-part series and a program/course designed to introduce you to all aspects of mock trial. The topics are set out below in this description.
In this "intro to the Introduction of Mock Trial" video, I go over the topics and learning objectives of the ten (10) videos and explain how mock trial combines the best aspects of (i) academics, (ii) clubs/extracurricular activities, (iii) athletics, (iv) the arts, and (v) emulating a profession.
For me, without reservation, mock trial is one of the best activities students can take on during their educational journey. I’ll cover the enormous benefits of mock trial including the development of life-long skills, understanding public speaking and the power of questioning, and the advantages of collaborating with teammates, and coaches toward a shared, long-term goal.
Participants will learn about:
the basics of mock trial
how to stand out in mock trial
an ideal mock trial teammate
it’s all about professional presentations
understanding theory and themes
objections for mock trial
evidence for mock trial
how to be a great witness in mock trial
how I judge (evaluate) mock trial
Upon completion of the introductory program, participants will have the opportunity to present parts of a mock trial via video, receive my feedback and a certificate.
