Stern LORD OF THE RINGS Restoration Completed!

Lord of The Rings! One if not THE best Stern pinball machines from the early 2000's on display here.
This game needed a lot of TLC (25 hrs worth and many parts) as it saw heavy use as a routed game. Many broken parts to fix and replace. Originally came in for a left flipper not working due to it constantly blowing it's fuse but found with working and studying the game and deep troubleshooting of it found to be much more than a simple flipper issue. Both MPU and driver baords needed corrosion remediation. New NVRAM and socket and some connector work.
Replace all playfield GI with warm white, red and orange LEDS, cleaned light inserts and incandescent bulbs. Replaced burned out front door bulbs with 2 red LEDs.
Rebuilt both flippers. 2 new Stern LOTR super flipper coils, Stern high performance new flipper bushings, Plunger links, 2 sleeves and one spring washer, 2 new yellow bats. Took out trough opto boards and reflowed solder joints.
Took out both VUKs and removed crappy connector spade connector hack going to the left VUK switch. Missing a screw for the VUK solenoid. Right VUK coil loose and missing a screw. repaired both. BALROG not working correctly; repaired Balrog mech.
Burned new updated rom from version 4 to latest version 9 which helps with flipper function and helps with chronic overheating of the flipper coils/ flipper circuit issues in this title.
Tightened palantir standup target switch and remounted relocated to center it and added new foam. Modified path of the dead added 3/4" ring and moved plastic post. Playfield clear silicone premium rubber kit.
Took top side of playfield apart to deep clean playfield. Reinstalled ramps and new LIV Tyler plastic , spinner and ring ramp and newly updated left post mod for ramp entry to protect it going forward.
Put remaining plastics and ramps back on game. Replaced the flipper mosfet driver chip and installed higher end mosfets for the flipper circuit. Repaired frayed wiring on 2 ramp switches.
Replaced spinner switch with proper low amp one less springiness for OEM spinner action. One in there wasn't registering all the time due too not being the correct type and thus ring magent wouldn't turn on all the time as spinner hits turn on the magnet. Replaced microswitch for shooter lane as it was broken. adjusted path of the dead via clear sleeve to support it make it level.
4 New balls. Version 9 software gave ability to fine tune the power of the flipper strength Adj custom flipper settings as below:

Widened out the right flipper EOS gap in addition to the settings above to make the left ramp shot optimal power from right flipper to help the ball NOT go off track as right flipper was way to strong and ball going off habitrail dumping into left VUK

Both flipper now have the factory updated LOTR flipper coils and the latest level 9 rom to help with flipper power issues and fuse and mosfet fatigue
Auto Plunger shooter mech needed rebuild, launching balls into figurine and getting stuck intermittently. 2 white bushings and one blue plunger link, front door lock missing and keys missing for back box lock. Replaced door lock and back box lock. Playtested 10 games on it and she is playing like new again!
