12.06.2025 | 12:24 AM | SANTA ANA - A man had to be cut free from his vehicle following a two-car crash, early Saturday morning.
The collision was reported in the 600 block of West Warner Avenue around 12:24 AM when a red 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck collided with a black newer-model Toyota sedan.
The force of the collision left the driver of the Toyota trapped in their vehicle prompting firefighters to employ the Jaws of Life to free them in an operation that lasted about 20 minutes.
The driver of the Toyota along with the driver of the Chevrolet were rushed to nearby hospitals in unknown condition.
Both directions of West Warner Avenue were closed in the vicinity of the crash while police investigated.
It is unclear if drugs, alcohol, and/or speed might have played a role in the crash. Video shows the Chevrolet facing eastbound in westbound lanes suggesting it may have crossed the center divide prior to the collision.
