県立大磯城山公園は、湘南地域の西、大磯町の海辺に位置する公園で、旧三井財閥本家の別荘地跡を利用した「旧三井別邸地区」と、宰相・吉田茂が暮らした邸宅を活用した「旧吉田茂邸地区」の二つの地区があります。
旧三井別邸地区には、三井財閥別荘跡地の宅地開発計画が契機となり1980年代に公園とすることが決まり、三井家の茶室として置かれていた国宝「如庵」にちなんで建てられた茶室「城山庵」、大磯町郷土資料館や横穴式古墳群などがあります。また、ゆるやかな丘陵につくられた展望台に登れば、相模湾をはじめ遠く富士、箱根、伊豆半島の山々などの雄大な自然が一望できます。
秋にはモミジが緑の中に朱を点じ、例年11月中旬から12月上旬頃にかけて見頃を迎える。三井別邸地区に約540本、不動池周辺に150本植えられているモミジが一斉に色づき、美しい紅葉を楽しむことができる。

Oiso Joyama Park, a prefectural park located on the coast of Oiso Town, west of the Shonan region, is comprised of two areas: the "Former Mitsui Villa District," which occupies the former villa site of the Mitsui Zaibatsu family, and the "Former Yoshida Shigeru Residence District," which occupies the former residence of Prime Minister Yoshida Shigeru.
The Former Mitsui Villa District was decided upon as a park in the 1980s following plans to develop the former Mitsui Zaibatsu villa site. Its attractions include the teahouse "Joyama-an," built after the National Treasure "Joan," which served as the Mitsui family's teahouse; the Oiso Town Local History Museum; and a group of horizontal burial mounds. Additionally, a visit to the observation deck built on a gentle hill offers panoramic views of Sagami Bay, as well as the distant mountains of Mt. Fuji, Hakone, and the Izu Peninsula.
In autumn, the maple trees take on a vibrant red hue among the greenery, and are at their best from mid-November to early December each year. The approximately 540 maple trees planted in the Mitsui Villa area and the 150 around Fudo Pond all change color at once, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage.
