Dukh Bhanjani Sahib - Sikh Paath + English Translation & Transliteration SHUDH UCHARAN HD

Dukh Bhanjani is a paath, or composition of sacred hymns, that is meant to destroy pain (“dukh”).
All the shabads (hymns) in this paath are composed by the fifth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji
This bani is named after the Shri Dukh Bhanjani Beri, which is a tree (beri) located by the perimeter of the sacred pool at Amritsar.
The Shri Dukh Bhanjani Beri has an important history that dates back to Bibi Rajni, the daughter of a wealthy man called Duni Chand.
When asked who provided for her, Bibi Rajni replied that the Lord, Waheguru, provides everything for everyone.
This reply angered her father, who then married her to a man suffering from leprosy.
Despite her circumstances, Bibi Rajni never lost faith and continued to put her trust in the Lord.
Bibi Rajni eventually arrived in Amritsar, where she sat her husband under a Beri tree and went to get some food.
While she was away, her husband noticed black crows diving into the adjacent pool and coming out white. He decided to dip himself in the pool and was miraculously cured of all his ailments.
The point of this story, or sakhi, is to show that with absolute faith and love for God, anything is possible & all things come to pass. This a testament to the nature of absolute, complete, and pure love.
The Shri Dukh Bhanjani Beri Tree still stands at Amritsar today and is visited by many people seeking the alleviation of their pain and suffering.

One should preform Panj Ishnan (washing feet, hands and face) MINIMUM before reciting any Sikh prayer (better to take a bath). Satguru is with us at all times.
