Apostle Islands is a group of islands in the Lake Superior near the town of Bayfield, Wisconsin. It has the status of a National Lakeshore, one of the three National Lakeshores in the US, two other ones are in the neighbor state of Michigan. Apostle Islands is a popular destination for kayaking, scuba diving and fishing, also visiting ice caves in the winter time. I mostly knew it for the sandstone caves and the lighthouses.
Had an opportunity to sail one sunny day when the islands opened up in all their color and glory. Let me share the videos from that day with you.
