I served as a Sonar Technician aboard the Boutwell when it was stationed in Seattle, WA. Here is footage from some of our fisheries patrols in the Aleutian Islands as well as some storm footage from our attempt to rescue the crew of the freighter Oriental Monarch, which went down with all hands in 1974. The Boutwell took some damage during this mission. 8mm silent film.
