Deaf Craft 5 Colors is a Hanoi based social enterprise that traces its beginning back to 1995. At that time it was still part of “Lan Handicraft”.

In 2007, Mr. Tran Dang Thanh, a 100% Deaf person, took on the leadership of one unit in “Lan Handicraft”, which was two years later officially registered as a business under the new name “DEAFCRAFT 5 COLORS”.

Mr. Thanh has the vision to provide an environment where each staff can develop its full potential and the company will positively impact the lives of Deaf people in Hanoi and all over Vietnam. The ulimate vision is to have the life situation of deaf people in Vietnam is transformed so that they can lead meaningful lives and have a positive impact on the society.

Since 2009 “DEAFCRAFT 5 COLORS” has continually grown manufacturing various products for the local tourist market and the expatriate community in Hanoi as well as for overseas customers.

Products: cards, bookmarks, calendars, chistmas decor, notebooks, sewn products, key chains, wall hanging, vietnam photo art, magnets, placemats, and games.

Their mission is to provide development opportunities for deaf people in the area of literacy and vocational training as well as to provide a fair wage employment in a caring social environment.
