One person has died after a four story temple collapsed in the Verulam area north of Durban. Another two people are known to be trapped under the rubble, but their status is unclear. Meanwhille, the eThekwini Municipality says preliminary reports have confirmed that no building plans were approved for the structure that has collapsed, therefore rendering it illegal. City officials say the matter will handed over to the Department of Employment and Labour for further investigations.
