Sannas a famous Goan delicacy, is a steamed rice cake that has a soft texture and pleasant flavour. Traditionally toddy is used for fermenting batter but I have used yeast as it is easily available to all. Ingredients:
Dosa / idli rice - 4 cup
Urad dal - 1/2 cup
Cooked white rice - 1/2 cup
Water as required for grinding batter (add gradually) & to adjust consistency
Salt - 2 tsp (as per the taste)
Yeast solution:
Warm water. 1/4 ucp
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Yeast - 2 tsp
Oil for greasing idli wati
