The traumatizing experience that helped me discover my strength and passion which is HOSPITALITY!

I stayed a week at Beach Walk Resort in Hallandale FL and they had no hospitality. The front desk never looks your way and keeps it very short and brief. No hello or goodbye. The Valet company was kind to an extent and they didn't stick to policy the last night of my stay. How can you change a rule on my last night there. It's okay to have a plan to capitalize on everything but do it with some empathy and let the people know what they are signing up for. I work in the hospitality industry just not in the hotel business side of things but if I did work in a hotel I would make the guests feel welcomed, warm, knowledgeable and connected. I learned how important hospitality is and how much it means to me. Even if a company doesn't sympathize with their guests empathy is still vital! The security deposit takes 7 to 10 days to release back to you but they don't tell you that either. I never heard of someone holding people's money that long. I'm not even sure if they will even give it back. I left the place clean and neat. Now going forward I ask hotels 101 questions to be sure that I know what I'm getting myself into especially if they don't offer refunds. A learning experience for sure. Everything happens for a reason though! I will implement my newfound passion in film where I can serve others with honesty, integrity, humility and honor!
