The National TLPS Report Launch will unveil India’s first large-scale study on teaching learning practices in foundational literacy and numeracy, conducted in government primary
schools across nine states.
Anchored by Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) and supported by Tata Trusts, TLPS 2024–25 is a large-scale, multi-state effort in India to systematically study teaching and learning processes in early-grade classrooms. The study has been implemented in collaboration with a consortium of five other leading organisations - Quest, Madhi Foundation, Vikramshila Education Resource Society, the Centre for Microfinance and Educational Initiatives - all deeply engaged in advancing foundational learning across diverse contexts. The survey spans 9 states - Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan - covering 21 districts and 1050 classrooms across Grades
1–2.
