🧾 Ingredients
1 egg
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup butter or margarine (softened, room temperature)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
About 3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar

1️⃣ Prepare the Syrup
Add the water and sugar to a saucepan.
Stir and bring to a boil. Once boiling, let it boil for 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside to cool completely.
2️⃣ Make the Cookie Dough
In a large mixing bowl, add:
Butter (or margarine)
Egg
Sugar
Vegetable oil
Vanilla extract
Baking powder
Cocoa powder
