The 22-year-old driver who was behind the wheel when a scholar transport kombi crashed with a truck, will appear before the Vanderbijlpark Magistrates' Court Today on 12 counts of culpable homicide, as well as reckless and negligent driving. Twelve learners died at the scene on Monday. Five others were hospitalised, while one has been discharged. Police issued a statement yesterday, saying they've arrested the driver after he too was discharged from hospital. The truck driver was unharmed whiled his passenger sustained injuries. Police say their investigations are ongoing.
