Following a succesful season of excursions in 2023, Norfolk and Western 611 returns to the former Chesapeake & Ohio Railway to haul the Shenandoah Valley Limited. Along with the 611, the Steam Railroad Institute brought their fleet of matching C&O inspired passenger cars, making for a beautifully uniform consist. Hosted by the Buckingham Branch Railroad, the Shenandoah Valley Limited runs from Goshen to Staunton, Virginia, traversing the beautiful C&O mainline, offering passengers beautiful views of the changing fall foliage. Built in 1950 by the N&W's own Roanoke shops, the 611 celabrates her 75th birthday operating what could be described as some of the best excursions of the mid 2020's. Let's follow the 611 as she puts on a show, as she is the Queen of the Shenandoah Valley
