Since the weather decided to chill out a bit, I thought we could heat things up with Stevie Ray's "House is a Rockin' ala Brian Setzer.
The banger was penned by SRV and Doyle Bramhall - making its appearance on the SRV's 1989 album "In Step."
Stevie's version is a scorcher and a classic in its own right, but Mister Setzer and his orchestra add a little flame to it as well, covering the tune for Brian's 1996 album "Guitar Slinger."
It's straightforward rock and roll at 170 beats per minute - a blast to play too.
Gear used: My orange Gretsch 54200T, PRS SE NF53, Nano Cortex for the 1964 Fender Blonde Bassman Amp and effects - with everything running into Logic Pro.
