Brooke Roberts, co-founder and 3EO of Sharesies, shared her personal background of witnessing economic disparities in her own family and how it fueled her passion for creating financial equity. Sharesies, operating in Australia, aims to provide financial empowerment for everyone by offering a wealth app that facilitates access to investing, challenging the notion that wealth-building is only achievable through homeownership.

Brooke emphasised the importance of challenging three norms at Sharesies. First, they challenge the idea that a minimum of $5 million is required to access investment opportunities, promoting fractionalization and democratising investment. Second, they challenge traditional leadership structures, adopting a 3EO model that involves three co-CEOs, emphasising the benefits of diverse decision-making and agility. Lastly, Sharesies advocates for staff shares, believing that employees should be shareholders, enabling them to access the value they create for the company. The company is also proud to be part of the B Corp community, promoting positive impact on community, customers, and the environment.
