On our second day in Cambodia, we booked an activity through Klook — a visit to the Kampong Phluk Floating Village. Honestly, we hadn’t planned on doing this tour; we just stumbled upon it while browsing Klook for other activities in Cambodia. We initially thought Cambodia was mostly about temples, but it turned out there’s so much more to explore!
The tour took us to the northwest part of the country, to Tonlé Sap Lake, about an hour’s drive from our hotel. It was truly an eye-opening experience, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the local culture and witness the daily lives of the villagers. The 30-minute canoe ride around the floating village was unforgettable — peaceful, therapeutic, and a gentle reminder to be grateful for the life we have.
We ended the day back at our hotel since it started raining, choosing to just relax for the rest of the evening.
