Todays video is around Srinrangapatna which used to be the capital of Mysore during Tipu’s regime. This place now holds the ruins of Tipu sultan’s old palace and tell you the tales of Tipu’s glory, terror and betrayal of Mir Sadiq.The temple of Sriranganathaswamy offers both religious and historical value. It holds a special importance for Hyder Ali, the late king of Mysore and father of Tipu sultan. Reason is explained in the vlog

Colonel Bailey’s dungeon tells the terrorising story of how Tipu sultan used to treat his British prisoners. He marked a cruel example that shook the core of britishers thinking to conquer Mysore.

Mir Sadiq , one of the minister of Tipu’s council, betrayed him and joined British alliance passing the crucial information which led to Tipu sultans’s death. Water gate was the historic place where Tipu fired the last rounds of ammunition through his hunting rifle and was later shot dead by a British soldier.

200 meter from this place stand a tombstone marking “Tipu sultans body was found here in 1799” and this is how a ruler once known as “Sher of Mysore” fought his last battle for pride and glory.
