Today we would like to share with you this beautiful rendition of Árbol del olvido by Alberto Ginastera. This performance is quite special, recorded at the Teatro Colón in September 2003, it unites two of Argentina’s foremost interpreters, both acclaimed internationally: Mercedes Sosa and Martha Argerich. We reached out to the arranger of this version but were unable to obtain the score, so we used Ginastera’s original while referring to this remarkable performance. Although there are some differences, they do not hinder the analysis. We hope it helps you better understand Ginastera’s language while enjoying this legendary collaboration.
