In the video, I will examine how Hfr (High Frequency of Recombination) bacteria have the F fertility factor incorporated into their chromosome, enabling efficient gene transfer. I will discuss how Interrupted Mating can be used to map the order of genes by interrupting the mating process at specific intervals using selective media and antibiotics.

The video features a practical example that uses genes for leucine and threonine synthesis. This demonstration will help you understand how gene order is determined by observing bacterial growth on selective media, making the process easier to grasp.
