This is a short but interesting prelude by the Saxonian master Tag, written in a for him typical "concerto-like" style. It is labeled Vivace e maestoso, and calls for "Mit dem vollen Werk" and "Auch mit 2 abwechselnden Manualen" (with full organ, and also with two alternating manuals). The piece is No. 1 of his "Zwölf kurze und leichte Orgelvorspiele nebst einer Orgelsinfonie" (12 short and easy organ preludes aside from one organ sinfonia) from 1794 edited by Igor Zatsepin.
