Travancore Foundation was established on September 17, 2009, a registered Charitable Trust and a Not-for-Profit organization. Today with a rich fifteen-year history in Senior Care, the Foundation stands out as a premier assisted living center for individuals aged 60 and above in the state of Kerala.

As a comprehensive senior care provider, we recognize the unique needs of seniors. Beyond necessities, we strive to reassure seniors of their well-being, going beyond mere food and accommodation. Understanding the intricacies of seniors' requirements, we address a range of health issues commonly faced in old age. Whether it's home care, daycare, or institutional care, our team includes professionals like social workers, physiotherapists, dietitians, nurses, counselors, psychiatrists, and general physicians.
Travancore Foundation takes a holistic approach to senior care, ensuring we meet all the diverse needs of older adults, from basic care to high-care requirements. Our commitment to providing Lifelong Care sets us apart, prompting the establishment of a dedicated Education and Research Centre on Aging within our campus.
Travancore Foundation Education and Research Centre on Aging (TF ERCA), the educational and research venture, having affiliation with two universities in India, aims to produce competent geriatric care managers for the future.
TF expanded its operations into two additional locations in the last five years; Rahel homes at Kolencherry and Presidency Homes at Kochi which serves as the state's first transitional and rehab care facility. Across these three sites, TF maintains a resident base of 150 members. This includes independent living, assisted living and skilled care. Resident care is well supported by a 200- member strong interdisciplinary team of staff with managers on site 24X7 who have special training in geriatric care.
The pioneer project of the Trust, Mission Valley, Karukachal Kottayam is a Platinum Status Residential Assisted Living Centre with 65 units.
With 15 years of experience, we are pioneers in the field, having launched this project during a recession and successfully completing it within 3.5 years.The entire facility is designed with the notion of being elder friendly (wheelchair accessibility, wide ramps, passages, grab bars, anti-skid floors, and elevators). The total built up area of the facility is 50,035 sq.ft having 62 in-suite units. Each individual unit is with an area is about 400 sq.ft, fully furnished with cot, wardrobe, dressing unit, table, chairs, side table, television, refrigerator, air conditioner, 24x7 hot water facility, intercoms, Wi-Fi. The facility is also equipped with automatic generator set (125 kilowatts) which ensures 100% backup power and is also under CCTV Surveillance.
Our second project, Rahel Homes, located at the heart of Kolenchery, managed and operated by Travancore Foundation, having a facility accredited with Platinum status and first of its kind in the country. The facility was assessed by SWII (Standard Wise International India), specialist in the field of accreditation of senior living standards endorsed by ASLI (Association of Senior Living India) and Common Age. Rahel Homes is built on 1.5 acres of land with 80% open spaces, designed where residents can have their independence, privacy and security within this self-help commune. Presidency Homes Our latest addition in the field of extending value-based health care services, Presidency Homes is located at the heart of Ernakulam town with 64 well furnished rooms with all common amenities of a four-star hospitality property, where our experienced and empathetic team offers transitional and rehab care ensuring healthy transitions of patients from Hospital to Home. At Presidency Homes, we provide health and support services to adults, in the age group 18 and above. Presidency Homes offers nursing care to patients during their transition from Hospital to home ensuring quality and continuity of nursing care and rehab therapies as per care management protocol advised in their respective discharge notes.
