We bought eggs for hatching from Meyer hatchery, Out of the 17 eggs we got 10 baby chicks. I'm not real happy with the eggs that were sent more than half were smaller than normal eggs, maybe from immature chickens?
Meyer also hatches eggs and sells baby chicks so it seems they sell the eggs they don't want to hatch, or we just got a bad batch.
We ended up with 5 hens and 4 roosters.
If you hatch your own eggs don't hatch small or unusually large eggs.
