Gulf State Park - The Jewel of Alabama State parks and Gulf coast. A winter Tour

It was time to try for some warmer temperatures. We took a trip down to visit some friends snowbirding at Orange Beach, AL. We chose to grab a campsite at Gulf State Park right across the beach road from their condo. While those campsites are plentiful (over 400), they can be hard to book. The first time I looked, none were available, but when I looked a few weeks later, they had become available.
This state park has many different options for accommodations. I cover almost all of them. They have a lodge, waterfront cabins, and some wooded cabins. The Campground has well over 400 full hook up campsites as well as about 8 primitive sites.
Also available, but not included in this video, are several Glamping tents near beachside downtown activities.
The Park has a wide variety of ecosystems that provide a wide range of birding.
And Bikes. Bring your bikes. the trail system is extensive.

Oh yeah, and the endless beach with shuttle access from all the park's accommodations.
