Seeing Burlington Northern power in 2020 is a rarity, but seeing three together is almost nonexistent on today's BNSF! In this video, we'll be treated to the now rare sight of three former BN units leading a mainline train on the Staples Sub in the form of a Northtown Yard to Grand Forks manifest. Leading is an SD60M, followed by two SD40-2s. The chase starts off in Elk River as the cascade green trio races through the curves, and gives us a blast of the horn. Following this, we'll see the EMDs roaring as it pulls past Clear Lake, and other points west. We'll even get an aerial view from the drone just outside of Rice. The light really started to get nice near Staples, and the power looked great as it passed the depot. After seeing it a few more times, the chase ends in Perham as it cuts through town, with the EMDs screaming and horn blowing for all the crossings.
I didn't think I would ever see a trio of BN green power like this again; it sure was a sight to be seen, and heard!
