In this lecture we critically reflect on the statement, "No craftsman ever makes errors" uttered by Thrasymachus during his discussion of justice with Socrates. While at first we feel like this is just nonsense -- everyone makes errors -- I suggest Plato wants us to take this very seriously. By reflecting on this quote we will see why according to Plato we can only understand the things around us in relation to the Form they participate in.
