In the grip of a brutal -40°C deep freeze, the Buffalo Airways fleet faces its toughest challenge yet. While most of the crew are grounded, a lone C-46 takes to the skies on a critical food run — only to encounter a mechanical failure and the most violent wind shear Captain Devan Brooks has ever seen. Meanwhile, 1,200km south, mechanic Cory Dodd is tasked with a near-impossible mission: modifying summer water bombers with auxiliary fuel bladders for a perilous 2,000km trek across the North Atlantic.
