Keflavik Airport to Reykjavik City BSI Bus Terminal Winter Bus Journey with Flybus, Iceland

(4K, Left-Hand-Side, 2025) A winter bus journey on a sunny day from Keflavík International Airport to Reykjavík City's BSÍ Bus Terminal, Iceland, onboard the Reykjavik Excursions Flybus service, in late February 2025. The bus travels via Hafnarfjörður and Garðabær, as two intermediate stops for hotel drop-offs. The first time I visited Iceland, I, like many other arrivals I suspect, took this bus service, giving me my first taste of the beautiful Icelandic countryside and landscape, and it always stuck with me. On this, my second trip to Iceland, I decided to video it for Byte Travel! This video covers almost the whole trip, with just a few cuts for heavy traffic. Unlike my first visit, which was also in February, there was no snow at all in Reykjavík for my entire visit - I had expected to be filming this in a snow-covered landscape, but the sun was shining and it was not to be this time! The bus travels from Keflavík Airport along Route 41 "Reykjanesbraut", the main road from the airport along the Reykjanes Peninsula towards Reykjavík, passing among other locations the junction for the Blue Lagoon and Grindavik; the road to Grindavik was closed at the time due to volcanic activity in the area. We come off Route 41 at the junction for Hafnarfjörður, and head into that town. From there we join Route 40 "Hafnarfjarðarvegur", continuing to Garðabær and Kópavogur, until we reach Reykjavík itself. As we head to the BSÍ Bus Terminal, we pass Perlan, and Reykjavík Domestic Airport, finally arriving at the Bus Terminal, where you can get local buses to hotels in the city itself. The journey is about 50 minutes in length. I also recorded the return journey, but from the opposite side of the bus facing the volcanoes - watch out for that video in the future!
