Faure’s Pièce Breves, Op.84 is a collection of short piano pieces. As a collaborative pianist, I am more familiar with his chansons than piano music. When I discovered these little piano pieces, I heard a distinctive vocal line I wanted to hear sung, literally, by a singer. This is the result of my experiment.
