Winter Storm Turns Montreal Trains into Frozen Wonderland!

Jan 7, 2025 - my favorite weather to be out on a bike, with a camera, chasing trains. Went along Atwater curve, crossing then back to Courcelle, via a detour downtown (that's another video). At every level crossing I turned up just as the barriers went down. Check out the non-stop action - double Via trains at Atwater - super rare moment - I was focused on the inbound train and got dive-bombed by an outbound Challenger.
More Challenger sets and dirty diesels and a (keep saying it) Monster CN freight train than in any other hour ever in the area. The freight train was so long that my camera froze while recording it. I estimate another 30-40 cars after I stopped filming. Minus -17 C with windchill.
Love chasing trains on a bike! Especially in winter.
