11KM WALK
Stunning downward descent into Mpushana River Valley. This beautiful area has zero trace of people. Elephant as well as predator signs by the river bed, with claw marks of large cat possibly leopard visible on tree bark.
(Leopards often claw bark as a of visual territorial beacon with scrape marks left on the trunk of trees along pathways. They also claw hard surfaces such as the bark of trees to maintain their claws, the friction removing bits of fraying claw-sheath.)
If anyone knows more about the rock formations in the river bed please do comment, as you can see its exquisite.
Most of the trees you also see growing by the rocky river bank is the majestic Matumi *Umfomfo (ZULU) tree which is a protected tree in Southern Afrika.
Bird calls mentioned below according to time stamp.
Please comment if you think we should include notes of the birds in the actual video, instead of having to view time stamps.
If you recognise any additional bird calls please comment below.
